I know most of you could not click on this thread fast enough to begin bashing the Cowboys and their brash owner, but before you do please consider what I have to say.  I am a Cowboys fan and more importantly an NFL football fan.  All of us ,as fans, get caught up with winning and losing. After all, as fans the most important thing in the world is our teams record and weather or not we win the next big game.  Nothing else matters to us.  One thing we must remember is that the NFL is a business, and in business money is the most important thing.   As owner of the Dallas Cowboys I feel that the most important thing to Jerry Jones is money.  The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable and profitable team in the NFL period.  I am pretty confident that Jerry purchased the team to make money, and that is why I say Jerry Jones is one of the best owners in football.  He built the biggest stadium in the NFL and sold out all of the regular season games with the highest ticket prices in the NFL.  All of you are quick to say Jerry needs to go and Jerry needs to stop meddling with football operations, and Jerry Jones is Egotistical, and the Cowboys problem is their owner.  As a fan I can’t agree more with all of these statements.  Even though I am a Cowboys fan I can’t stand to even look at the man.  But as an owner who’s job is to make money, Jerry Jones is the best.  I mentioned Dan Snyder because he is another owner who we all agree is getting in the way in the win column.  But according to Forbes magazine guess who the second most valuable franchise is??  Yeah the Redskins.  I am not suggesting that neither of these guys wants to win.  After all when you win it is easier to sell tickets and merchandise.  I am simply saying that unfortunately in the business of the NFL, money trumps winning.  I wonder how many players would play for next to nothing with the guarantee that they would win??  I doubt many would.  Below is a link the Forbes article if you would like to see where your team stands.  Good luck to all of your teams in the playoffs and have a great Holiday.  Ok, I am ready for the dogpile that is coming.
