Let me say, I know Ive ripped Jason Varitek over the last few years as a player, I have always been consistent in my opinion of him I think would be a great manager and like Mike sociisia who is also a great manager, Varitek would be a perfect bench coach for francona next year and eventually become the red sox manager. varitek knows the opposition and the game as well as anyone, I admire varitek as a tough gritty player who will fight (A rod Headlock) anyone and not take any crap. True as a player I feel he is done and has been for a while, but as a manager John Henry should be talking to him right now. Varitek would be a great Red Sox manager. Varitek, is smart, crafty, and tough, just what the sox need. Next year, Pedroia should be wearing the C on his jersey and Varitek should be the bench coach
