The article today on Comcast talks about Tatum’s career and makes a passing reference to the Immaculate Reception….”the ball bounced off Fuqua’s foot and ricocheted into the arms of Steelers running back Franco Harris”.   Oh, really?  I have seen that tape a hundred times and cannot tell. As a result of the collision between Fuqua and Tatum the ball seems to clearly go straight upfield on the fly. Off Fuqua’s foot? This author takes one of the sport’s great controversies and solves it in an instant. Since a media guy says it,  it must be true.

While listening to morning sports radio today…They were interviewing a gentleman (sorry to be so vague) who is just coming out with a new book on Steinbrenner…Evidently he was very close to George…The family had also asked this person to write the story…   What was very surprising to me, George has suffered numerous mini strokes, and is also suffering from dementia.. I truly did not know this…That was a very sad thing to hear…I know there are much more informed people on this forum who could enlighten me on who this author is and the title of the book…Probably be a good read…
