popeater.com:
Lindsay Lohan is reportedly suing the financial company E-Trade, insisting that the company’s new commercial about boyfriend-stealing, "milkaholic" baby — who happens to be named Lindsay — was modeled after her. Lohan reportedly wants $100 million, The NY Post reports. Lohan’s lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, told the newspaper that the actress has the same single-name recognition as Oprah or Madonna. "Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit," Ovadia said.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *sigh*
Who out there EVER in a million YEARS made the association between this commercial and Lindsay Lohan? Show of hands… anyone? She’s desperate. Sure hope Ms. Ovadia is okay with working pro bono. She ain’t gonna see any money from this one anytime soon.

Everyone has been buzzing about Helen Mirren’s Oscar accessory, and it wasn’t diamonds or pearls. Back in January, when Mirren was getting lots of kudos for her role in “The Last Station,” the 64-year-old actress revealed to “Good Morning America” (via People.com) that she is “utterly disgusted” by a small, tribal-looking tattoo on her left hand that she got while she was “very, very drunk.”
“I decided to get a tattoo because it was the most shocking thing I could think of doing,” she explained. “Now I’m utterly disgusted and shocked because it’s become completely mainstream, which is unacceptable to me.”
Helen’s ink is rather small so you may not have noticed it. Here’s a close-up:

Racquel Welch’s designer clothing was so alarming she was stopped by security at O’Hare International Airport while in Chicago to appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”The New York Post’s Page Six reported the 69-year-old Golden Globe winner was “patted down by a TSA agent for several minutes in a clear, square box in full view of waiting passengers.”
It seems as though her Dolce & Gabanna undergarment was the cause for concern.
“She probably isn’t going to fly in a bustier anymore,” said Welch’s spokeswoman.
How ironic is it that she was there to promote her new book, “Raquel: Beyond the Cleavage” when that’s the very reason she couldn’t make it through the airport without a brush with security?
What Do You Think? Does Racquel look good for her age or should she tone it down?Click here to comment |

Aside from a few friendly jabs at nominees, Sunday night’s Academy Awards were pretty much free of controversy until the “In Memoriam” segment led by James Taylor singing the touching Beatles classic, “In My Life.” The montage was filled with talented people from the entertainment industry who passed away over the year, but Farrah Fawcett, who endured a public battle with cancer, was not included and her omission created somewhat of an uproar.
RadarOnline.com spoke with Leslie Unger, a rep for the Oscars, about the absence of Farrah in the montage.
“It is highly unlikely that we forgot about Farrah Fawcett but we unfortunately don’t include everyone each year,” she explained. “There are many angles that are looked at as to who to include and unfortunately we don’t include everyone.”
Bruce Davis, executive director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, touched on the difficulty of this portion of the show a few days before the live telecast.
“It is the single most troubling element of the Oscar show every year,” Davis said. “Because more people die each year than can possibly be included in that segment.”
The process seems nearly impossible. Each year the list of greats we lost is whittled down from more than 100 names to just 30.
Bea Arthur, most remembered for her role on “Golden Girls” was also left out of the tribute.
What Do You Think? Should Farrah have been included? Were you upset that she was left out? Click here to comment |
