Cam Newton, Nick Fairley and most of the other Tigers are expected to be on hand. The football will spill over to Saturday’s basketball game against Alabama as well when Auburn will receive the ODK Trophy, which goes to to the winner of the Iron Bowl. { Auburn } The game is at 5 p.m. The trophy presentation will be at halftime. Auburn BCS National Champions. Auburn #1 WAR EAGLE #1 Go Auburn I cant think of a better time to give the trophy away is at halftime vs Alabama basketball game. WAR EAGLE :smileytongue:
Let’s just pose the question hypothetically speaking…what do you think? Keep in mind that everything is an opinion. Here is my opinion based on what I know….Cecil Newton solicited Georgia and Tennessee for money for Cam’s signature. Did he ask those two schools for money and ask nothing from Auburn? We know he asked Mississippi State for funds. Did he ask Auburn as well? Considering this, I would like for someone to tell me why Cam Newton went to Auburn for free…..
1 STATE 2 SCHOOLS
Last year, the Crimson Tide gave the state of Alabama a national championship and a Heisman trophy winner. This year Auburn University is 1 win away from repeating this. It is something to be proud of.
No Celebration
It’s Sunday morning. I’m getting ready to hit the road and start my journey back to Florida and yet I cannot get excited about the possibly of playing in the championship game. I remember way too clearly being in this position after the 2000-2001 season. Ranked #2 in the BCS, suppose to play Miami for the National Championship, and then the BCS announces that #4 Nebraska will be playing Miami and Oregon will go to the Fiesta Bowl. It sucked then and it sucks now. I have absolutely no faith in the BCS actually doing the right thing, so until I see the official bowl placement, I will remain unexcited. Yes, I believe that Oregon and Auburn would be a great game and the best matchup they could put together, but Oregon and Miami would have been the best matchup in 2001. Congratulations to Auburn on going 13-0 and winning the almighty SEC championship. Newton will win the Heisman Trophy and justly so. And now we’ll have to listen for five weeks about how how great the SEC is and how that alone is why Auburn will beat Oregon. If, the BCS decides to give Oregon their blessings, this debate will get settled on the football field under the eyes of the entire nation, pretty freakin’ cool!!!!!
Auburn Tigers Sec Champions / Glendale.
Very proud of our team through the season the highs and lows was a great season for Auburn And we will play our best to bring the NC to the SEC.Now im heading to Toomers corner and celebrate.Partytime in Auburn.Go WAR EAGLE. Here we come Glendale. Auburn #1.
Oregon falls in polls,Auburn vs TCU maybe
This is an `if` Oregon should lose saturday or have a bad game but a close win against their rival state should they drop to #3 and Auburn play TCU.Could just happen !
Nick is an animal and not an everyday pass rusher.Ive read where a couple coaches, fans, and posters on different links say hes out to hurt QBs. I always thought that was what the defense was about to hunt down the QB and take him down or out.I think its been the last 5 or 6 games that he has played in they have had to put their QB on the bench for an injury. To me its not flag football and till they tell him to go home that he cant play due to being to rough those offensive lines better protect their QB at all costs cause hes on the otherside looking in.Do these picks actually look to agressive ! Ive heard hes a great person to be around just watch for mood changes on the field.Hes one to contend with and sooner or later he`ll introduce himself to your QB and please dont gang jump him like Georgia did,he just loves Football.
It appears we could very well go into bowl season with four undefeated teams this year. What would be great is to see Oregon and Boise St. play for a Western Region, and TCU& Auburn play for the Eastern Region. Then the winners would play for the Championship. Now those would be some good games!
