If there were any doubters that Rodgers will be named this yrs MVP, I think he cemented that honor today. The Giants score and convert 2 point conversion and the stadium is about to burst at the seams. Rodgers sighs, puts on his helmet, and with 58 seconds to go trots his team into FG position to continue the undefeated season. Wow! Hands down the best QB in the league right now.
Aaron Rodgers cements MVP?
Worst Game 6!
Given how exciting game 6 was, this was one of the sloppiest ugliest games I have ever seen. And yet there calling it the best ever. Anyone watch real baseball anymore. 5 total errors. Horrible pitching by both sides. And finally why doesn’t anyone talk about the hit errr error by Cruz Freese hit. Watch him run back for the ball, he stops running half way there, the ball wasn’t even over his head. He gave up on the ball. Terrible! Don’t care who wins but gees really best game 6. I dont think so. IMHO
Mike Slime and the BCS
From an article posted today; Southeastern Conference commissioner Mike Slive expects the BCS executive director to ask the commissioners to consider lifting the two-team per conference limit in the Bowl Championship Series. Slive and Texas A&M president R. Bowen Loftin spoke on a conference call with reporters Tuesday about the Aggies’ move to the SEC. Slive was asked about the possibility of the BCS changing its rules to allow more than two teams from a conference to play in the five most lucrative bowl games in a year. He said BCS executive director Bill Hancock wanted to speak with the commissioners of the 11 major college football conferences about a number of issues, the two-team limit expected to be among them. In an email to The Associated Press, Hancock declined to discuss Slive’s comments or elaborate on what other possible changes to the BCS he’d like to see the commissioners address. “The commissioners are committed to making the BCS the best it can be,” he wrote. “It’s very good now. Just what ‘making it the best’ might entail will be evaluated in a thoughtful and deliberate process over the next six or eight months.” Oh yeah, this is exactly what college football needs, half the teams in the BCS bowls from the same conference. What a bunch of egotistical **bleep** to even think about such a thing. We hear all the time how great the SEC says the SEC is, and now Slive wants the BCS to drink the kool-aid as well, and what is more dangerous is that the BCS Retards are stupid enough to do it. Yes the SEC is good, but they already have a championship game for the two best teams which determines the outright champion, so why would we need 3 or 4 SEC teams in the Bowl Games? One point that is being missed here is the money, and we all know that college football is about the money, so we want to take the money away from one or two conferences so that it can be dumped into the SEC who already gets maximum payoffs by being in the championship game as well as one other BCS Bowl. So which conference gets tossed? Do you toss the Big East Champion and keep Boise State? Do you toss Boise State? If the ACC has a down year, does their champion get tossed? Same for the Pac12 or the BIG12 and Big10? Where do you draw the line? I am not degrading the SEC, I am however degrading Sliva for even thinking this way. As we have said on here many times, and this is a perfect example of how GREED has and will continue to ruin the game of college football. I am totally disgusted with this…
Outside of my team, I think the best game this week will be New England @ Buffalo. It should be a good test to see if there will be a three horse race or not in the AFC East. The Jets may not be the only contender to the Pats. Also I like the matchup between the Redskins and Cowboys on Monday night. Washington could really gain some momentum in establishing their shot at the division.
Im sad to say the Sox with their great lineup, maybe the best, just doesn’t have the pitching. Becket and Lester aside, Bedard seems to be their only hope. Lackey has been a 82.5 million dollar waste, like Dice-k, without Bucholtz, and Becket if pushed too hard will end up on the DL. Wakefield, Miller, and Lackey are not going to get it done come playoff time. Bedard looked good his last outing, maybe the sox’s only hope, because I don’t see Becket and Lester alone pitching them into a WS. 5 years ago Becket could have gone on 3 days rest multiple times, not now. All I can say is the sox better give papelbon what he wants because pap and bard are probably the 2 best in the game, Marianio Riviera is still the best but the yanks don’t have a bard for the 8th inning. I just don’t see the sox beating a team like the phillies who will most likely end up in the WS. Theo tried, after all he doesn’t have a crystal ball, with people like Dice-k, Lackey, Crawford there was just no way to tell, Agon has been one of theo’s best signings, But Lackey, has been a huge disappointment, the only saving grace for dice -k he did help with the 07 WS, he was a bust, but not a total bust. Lackey has been painful to watch. Wakefield is still trying for the 6th time to get his 200th win and he wants a contract for next year, as does varitek. if theo signs those 2 instead of saying hey its been great but its over, then theo needs his head examined.
These Hall of Famers are making me feel old…
I’ll never forget Primetime or “Marshall Marshall Marshall” or perhaps the best Tight End I’ve ever seen in Shannon Sharpe. I grew up watching these dudes play and now they’ve all been retired long enough to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Each of them deserve it, but WOW!…where does time go….. Congrats to all the Hall of Fame inductees for this year and goodluck to all…..
Ravens linebacker
The Ravens linebackers are looking quite strong and heres why…In 2010 years draft they picked up the best linebacker out of college IMO for several years but unfortunately he fell down a flight of stairs and fractured his skull before the season started and was unable to play the entire year…His name is Sergio Kindle and he is as good as Suggs and Lewis with that being said…The Ravens should be quite difficult to run on…I can’t wait for game one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best tickets yet!
After so many games and such a long time I’m worming my way to my dream seats. Tomorrow I’m taking the better half to her first game vs the A’s the seats are a little left of homeplate and on the aisle. I’m gonna have her wear a 20 gallon Texas hat and a novelty # 1 finger fan plus spray paint her hair prison orange. If you see us call consistently so I can wave emphatically every 3 minutes! These are perhaps the best seats I’ve had, and they were a gift of course. My friend figured I’m the one idiot who’d sit in 100+ heat and watch my team lose up close? i can only hope it’s all you can eat?
