Mayor Leppert’s disavowing Vick Dallas’ ‘key’
CONGRATULATIONS, MR. MAYOR!! I commend you on your decision! As a FORMER Eages fan, THEY should have done the same thing before they signed him. I firmly believe that, had he not been caught, he’d STILL be abusing and killing dogs. Thankfully, he is such an egotist, arrogant and actuallly not an intelligent quarterback’ that he didn’t lead the Eagles to the SB!!!
to much anger against vick
its time to let go,the man did wrong,he never denied it,he served his time in jail and was released, the courts gave the sentence if you dont think its enough call and nag them.in life we all make mistakes,i did, there is nothing wrong giving someone a second chance,he has done nothing wrong scince his release.football is his talent, one he is very good at,i wonder if those complaining are fans of team in the eagles division and with his leadership might just put the eagles in the hunt. i am an animal lover and i know what he did was wrong, let me ask one question, how many of you hating mike vick are hunters?because you get a hunting permit is that ok?a deer just hangin out in the woods eating and you got your rifle, thats fair?it would be ok for you to kill deer, rabbits, geese, you know what im trying to say, just because its legal, dont mean its humane.we should let it go,im my opinion.
There is an embedded video _______________________________________ http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Video-DeSean-Jackson-s-emotional-surprise-visi?urn=nfl-316576 The 13-year-old boy who was bullied and beat up by a ” wolf pack ” of teenagers in Pennsylvania last month received a surprise visit from his favorite football player on live television. Nadin Khoury was walking home from school on Jan. 11 when he was randomly accosted by seven teens who attacked him for 30 minutes. The incident was filmed by one of the assailants, which helped propel the sickening incident into the national spotlight. On Thursday, a resilient Khoury appeared with his family on “The View” to discuss the incident and bullying in general. Near the end of the segment, he was surprised by Philadelphia Eagles players DeSean Jackson (notes) , Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson (notes) . Jackson, the Eagles star receiver, is Khoury’s favorite player. After coming out on set and hugging the middle school student, Jackson gave Khoury the jersey off his back (literally) and let him know that if he ever needed help, he and his two lineman had his back. Herremans later mentioned that the Eagles would give the family tickets to any Eagles game next season. If you don’t have a tear in your eye or goosebumps on your arm after that one, I don’t know what to say. __________________________________________
JORDAN RAANAN ON BIG BEN
who is this guy,a eagles broadcaster, what gives him the right to put big ben down, its his opinion and they are like a holes everyone has one, that is what these posts are for.but he gives his opinion and its printed as a huge article degrading ben, written by a nobody who thinks his opinion is important, sorry eagle fans, nothing against you or the eagles but you guys otta get a new voice for the eagles games,he said ben dont belong to the list of great ones, well he is no shakespere,if he had half the class myron cope had then what he says might matter, hell he would not even compare to bill hillgrove, and thats two guys from pittsburgh who were straight up,if they didnt like something they let it be known wether it was a steeler or someone else, they gave their fair opinion, this guy just ambushed big ben, jordan raanan, you are a nobody despertly seeking a way to get your name out their,we understand, its hard being a lonley loser. GO BIG BEN,SHOW THEM WE ARE THE STEELERS!!!!!!!
Today’s best defense
Here in the Philly area, there is a lot of talk about whether or not the Birds should switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense. I don’t want to discuss the merits of the two defenses would work for the Eagles specifically. Instead, what I would like to hear from you is, with the pass-first orientation of most offenses today, which defense is most effective defending the modern game. I see a lot of defenses are going to the 3-4. The top defenses in the league, Pittsburgh and Baltimore, along with the top two sack defenses, Dallas and Pittsburgh, are all playing 3-4. Is this the way to go? Is this the defense that works best against teams like the Colts, Patriots, Packers, etc.? And will this switch to the 3-4 spark a return to the smash-mouth run-first offense?
According to some reports , the Eagles are looking to hire Green Bay’s defensive backs coach, Darren Perry, to be their new defensive coordinator. They supposedly have already made inquiries about getting permission from the Pack to talk to him, but have to wait until after the Super Bowl before they can make it official. I admit to knowing next to nothing about Mr. Perry. I’m hoping that the Eagles have selected another young hot shot coach to take a chance with, and that he will be successful as some of the others have. Names like John Harbaugh, Steve Spagnuolo, and Leslie Frazier come to mind. So, all you Green Bay fans. Enlighten me on Darren Perry, his abilities, etc. I heard that he was influential in the development of Troy Polamalu and his style of play while coaching the Steelers backs. He was also in Oakland when Nnamdi Asomugha really started to flourish. I can see that he is an excellent coach of defensive backs, but is he capable of making the jump to coordinator? Do the Birds really see something, or are they taking a flyer because their other top choices are gone?
RE: cUTLER COMMENTS FROM PLAYERS
It FIGURES that Samuel would ‘drop’ the DK’s (Vick) name as a ‘martyr’ on the field. Doesn’t Samuel (who is one player who plays NOT to get hurt) realize YET that the Eagles will NEVER win w/Vick. His ‘bag of tricks’ is EMPTY E.G.: His interception at the ‘end of the Eagles’ season’, and all of the teams now ‘have his number…BIG TIME!!! He’s ARROGANTLY EGOTISTICAL…and will NEVER listen to anyone else about how to play quarterback…because he ISN’T one!!! ALL-PRO??? Get SERIOUS!! Changed person?? Get MORE serious!! He is the LARGEST PR ‘PILE” EVER THROWN OUT THERE by the Eagles. It’ll come back to bite them and they STILL won’t have a quarterback, with all due respect to Kevin Kolb. HE would be wise to dump the Eagles if he has the chance!
Jauron to Cleveland
Wow….kinda surprise me a little given that the Eagles cut loose McDermott and Jauron was thought so highly of. Could it be that Dick took a look a the personal and said “no thanks with that group” or the money wasn`t right? Hey,,,Maybe Andy didn`t think he was that great or maybe Mr Jauron felt constrained.I know about the Trgovic(sp?) hire but still,,Jauron quality personnel so you`d think they want hin there. Oh well,,,,another day another $1.50.
