Considering the fact that Big Ben has more experience when it comes down to the wire and “Crunch Time” I have to give him the edge over the eager and amazingly talented Mark Sanchez. And I personally wish that some of the posters on this forum would leave that incident concerning Big Ben and that young girl. In the past where it belongs. I regret starting a thread asking if he would receive the backlash that Mike Vick and Tiger Woods did and if the forum would remove his picture. Well they did replace his picture with a “Deer in the Headlights “ photo of you know who:smileysurprised:. But as far as I am concerned Big Ben Roethlisberger is an excellent quarterback and needs to be respected and admired for his performance on the field. And not judged and persecuted for his personal endeavors in his private life. May the best team win..

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas to all in the NFL Forum. Through all the war of words, the penalties, the fines, the suspensions, the injuries, the rivalries, the wins and loses, ……….There is a good bunch of people in this forum. I know sometimes it gets wild and the limits are pushed, but it is all opinioned based, and just a way to communicate to those from all walks of life. From Mark 76. I truly wish You guys a MERRY CHRISTMAS and may each of you and your friends and families be blessed in the Reason For The Season.
Mark Reymolds to Batimore
Thought I should bring this up even though it won’t garner much attention on the forum (do we have any O’s fans??). The deal is reportedly for relievers David Hernandez and Kam Mickolio. This one feels like the Werth deal a bit to me, I just feel like the O’s should keep rebuilding for a couple more years before they try to make a bunch of signing/trades. Plus side is Reynolds is 4 years younger than Werth and actually has some upside. Downside is Reynolds hit .198 last year and could probably reach 250 K’s in a season someday.
New Picture?
Dear Santa Solstice: All I want for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the next 11 months is a picture of a group of San Francisco Giants, preferably after having won the WSC 2010, as the main picture for this forum. Why you picked that boring picture of the 3 yankee players( that are hard to see unless you have a magnifying glass) is beyond me. Please install a picture of a guy or guys doing something besides yakking (or exchanging opinions about the posts on this forum?) Maybe Pablo Sandoval or E Renteria or even T Lincecum or even the Beard could be featured… Yours truly, Clavitolex el gigante de Portland, Tennessee – la capital de Las Fresas mejores en TN.
Re: Error Made on weekly picks
Weekly Picks #7 10/18/10 01:22pm is last year’s scheduled picks. I have since notified a Moderator to delete this from the forum. The correct one to make your selections from is ” Weekly Picks 7 ” 10/18/10 02:20pm, so if you have made your selections already please go to the one above to get your selections on the proper list for this week’s picks. I apologize for any inconvenience. Gerald
Dear Forum Monitors
As much as Ben Roethlisberger is a stand out citizen and a mediocre player at best. Can we possibly change the forum picture to a star that is a bit more relevant to the current year….maybe Adrian Peterson…..Chris Johnson….or of course Mr. Tom Brady. Or even the NFL logo. Thank you.
IT’S BEEN REAL ……
Sad to say that for personal reasons I’m moving on from Comcast. I have thoroughly enjoyed this forum and most that post on it; knowledgeable and passionate fans of the game and their teams. While I have been both berated and praised for some of my posts, what I will take most from this experience is not what I wrote but what I read. Trust me, you’re never too old to learn and there certainly has been a lot of food for thought that got my attention by offering a different perspective, sometimes changing my own. Good luck to all the teams represented on here, you have represented their “fandom” well. Sempre Fi
The Oakland Raiders on The Rebound
A brand new season and a different attitude new players could possibly make this team a winning franchise again Their is a tremendous fan base in Oakland calling themselves the Raider Nation and I rarely see any comments on this forum from any of the fans. I was born in Oakland and grew up seeing them have numerous winning seasons and make it to 5 super bowls winning 3 and losing 2. On this forum their is constant bragging about various teams who have yet to win even one super bowl and yet they criticize teams like the Raiders. hopefully this season will restore this proud franchise to its former glory and winning attitude “GO RAIDERS”.
Emmet Smith’s tearful speech
As inducted into the Foot ball Hall of Fame, a well deserved honoree, Emmet Smith tearfully thanked his line man for his success as a runner. As a girl, I find nothing wrong or unmanly when a male is affected to the point of tears whether happy or grateful, or sad. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/08/08/emmitt-smith-hall-of-fame-speech/ But watching him made me think of my non conservative compatriots on this forum and the many times Glenn Beck was criticized for his tears, and I wondered if those who would call out Beck for this would also criticize Smith. Are Smith’s tears different from Beck’s?
BreezynSam
I have to say that BreezynSam has the best thread in this forum. Who would have thought that “best playoff QB” would still be going strong after 18 + months. My hat is off to BreezynSam. I wish I could think of a subject that would get that much attention. :smileyvery-happy:
