If they retired at the end of the season, what current players are locks for Cooperstown?
I’ve got Mo, Vizquel, Jeter, Thome, Chipper Jones, & Ichiro.
I’m going with Alex Rodriguez as a “no” because of his admitted PED use, and with Ivan Rodriguez as a “no” because of his long-presumed PED use.
And no Halladay; if he retires at the end of the season, while his winning percentage would be excellent, he wouldn’t even have 200 wins. Can’t see him as a lock on that basis.
