I am not on the Facebook, so my posting career is going to be cut short very young. Too bad, I was showing so much promise. I have enjoyed reading a lot and posting some over the last few weeks. You all have a lot of knowledge and are very passionate about your topics. With that, I feel that I have to go out with an attempt to stir everyone’s pot in one post. Here goes:

Tebow: Terrible QB, will never be a winner, and keeps stuffing his religion down my throat

Pittsburgh Steelers: Maybe at some point they will be consistently a winner. They will never make another SuperBowl. Mark it.

Baltimore Ravens: Great team to follow. As long as you don’t mind being that other team in the AFC North.

San Diego Chargers: No punch line needed

Philadelphia Eagles: Must be that dream where you keep feeling like your falling

Reggie Bust – A bust?: At least the end of the forum will keep this thread from making it back to the top again and again and again….

If I missed your team, it means that they are not relevant.

Disclaimer: This post was written by a die-hard Saints fan. Anything I post about the Saints is 100% correct and your team sucks.

On a serious note, thanks for letting me play along like someone was reading my babble. I wish everyone the best for the future, a Merry Christmas (or happy your-prefered holiday), and a happy healthy 2012 and years beyond.

I was watching the Saints/Panthers game today and Steve Smith made a great catch and run and scores a TD. Well after Smith is in the end zone, Roman Harper comes along and lays a pretty good lick on him. A bit of a scirmish ensues and Harper is flagged 15 yards for the late hit. Fine. The correct call is made, but what’s the purpose of enforcing the flag on the kickoff? Carolina kicks off from the 50 and the ball sails out of the end zone for a touchback. The Saints start their drive on the 20 and the game goes on. With the kickoff rule, it was probably going to be a touchback anyways, so my question is, should they consider changing the rule for penalties on scoring plays to be enforced AFTER the kickoff rather than on it? If not, what’s to stop the defense from doing whatever dirty thing they want on a scoring play if the only reprucussion is moving the kickoff up even further? After the QB releases the ball, once the TD is secured, why not give the QB a forearm shiver to the chops? Hey it’s only going to be a touchback, anyways. Does that rule seem out of whack to anyone else? Did I observe that correctly?

This should be one helluva shootout, with the best QB in AFC and NFC. Both have peaked. Brees has done it with what was given to him Peyton has had his needs met. The Saints win; If they can keep a lead, and stop the run to force peyton for spectacular after spectacular to get a first down. The Colts win; If they can run the ball, and stop the run. Again forcing the QB to do it all. If it comes down to ea. QB for the Game. Exp. goes with Peyton, The Gumption to do it with DREW BREES Saints by a FG..:smileyvery-happy:

Great Kickoff Game

The new season started last night, I myself was impressed that both teams played very well, The packers were great on both sides of the ball but you have to give the Saints credit also. They did not lay down after they were stopped inside the 6 yard line on 4th and one… I think both teams put on a great show and the game itself came down to the last play Pending the 2 point conversion had the saints scored the touch down…. I’m excited the new season is underway and A big thanks to both the Packers and the Saints for making it an exciting game… Only my opinion…. Peace….

That was one of the dirtiest games I’ve seen since the old days of the Oakland Raiders. 9 penalties for 88 yards on the Saints, three of which were personal fouls and many more that were never called. I guess the Vikes could have played dirty too and probably should have but they probably thought that they could win playing like sportsman not thugs which as we know didn’t turn out to be true. It was still a very close game in the end and the Saints definitely proved that they were no saints. Go Colts!

Super Bowl

I don’t about the rest of you out there, but this last weekend was the Super Bowl. The playoff between the Saints and Vikings was one of the greatest games ever. I love Brett Farve, but I love the Saints as well. I will be watching this years Super Bowl between the Saints and Colts, but it will not have the excitement as this last weekends game. I was heartbroken for Farve and excited for the Saints at the same time. I will of course be rooting for the Saints who have never been this far and I know that they will win this games. To Brett, thank you for this years and all the years before. Go Saints

Last season when the Saints played the Vikings the Vikings were plus 4 in the turnover ratio and won by 3 points. This year in the playoffs the Saints were plus 4 in the turnover ratio and won by 3 points. Pretty evenly matched in both years. It was a good but rough game and my hats off to the Vikings and their fans. They put up a heck of a fight.

Can’t Blame Brett

The interception didnt lose the game. Who ever idea it was to try to fool the Saints defense by having 12 guys in the huddle is what did it. The Vikes have the best running back in the game, the NFL all-time leading passer. For 3 and 1/2 quarters the Saints couldn’t stop the Vikes at that end of the field. 30 seconds in the the game instead of playing football like they been doing all game, they tried trickery that came back and bit them in the @$$.
