Considering the stark contrast in what today’s athlete makes in comparison to the old days, I think it would be nice if the league gave back to the old greats of yesteryear. I’m talking the former stars who had to go out and work other jobs during the off season but made the sport great giving 100% on the gridiron. Just something to supplement their incomes and social security I don’t think it would bankrupt the NFL.

Why are all these guys such FXXXING **bleep**s. Quit the sport and get a real job. The fans are just as bad. No one should be allowed to make that kind of money playing a sport. If they worry about the future and their bodies, then don’t play the game. The agents and owners are all just as bad. Again, get a real job and see what it’s like to try and take the family to a game. At such a rediculous price, you would feel the same way………….You all would feel like “they are fxxxed charging that much.”

I’m not a dedicated Steelers fan. I represent the great state of MD and all it’s sport franchises. That’s right Go Ravens,Redskins,Wizards,Capitols,Nationals,Orioles. Any way Mr. Tomlinson congratulations and and good luck with trying to become the first African American head coach in the NFL to win the most superbowl titles. I just wanted everyone in the sport world to reflect on that. Go get em MIke.

The article today on Comcast talks about Tatum’s career and makes a passing reference to the Immaculate Reception….”the ball bounced off Fuqua’s foot and ricocheted into the arms of Steelers running back Franco Harris”. Oh, really? I have seen that tape a hundred times and cannot tell. As a result of the collision between Fuqua and Tatum the ball seems to clearly go straight upfield on the fly. Off Fuqua’s foot? This author takes one of the sport’s great controversies and solves it in an instant. Since a media guy says it, it must be true.
