Team

Forget who started this thread last year, but I liked it so I’m bringing it back. Predict two people from your (or any) team you think will outperform expectations and two who will underperform. And if someone does your team and is way off then start debating, don’t just submit your picks :smileysurprised: (that’s a yawn)

Link I have just one question was it that hard to get to the airport. I know you got snow but 11 people to greet your team. I don’t know what happened to the Pats in ‘07 but I would think there were more people.

there is a lot of talk about the Pick-6 in the SB. This is the question for you. Do you think Manning choked, or did the Saints just beat the Colts outright, or a combination of the two. Personally I think it is a combination. Manning made a rookie QB mistake of staring down his receiver and had enough time to check down his other receivers and he would have seen Collie was open. Porter was covering Wayne pretty good and it should never have been thrown there. Now the Saints at that point were still ahead and Porter did read the play so I also give credit to the Saints. But I say Manning choked on that play and sealed the loss for his team. What say you all.

Yes Yes And Yes.  he acts like he is the team and that everyone owes him a win everytime.  Just look at the way he acted in final games of the season.  But since he is only a .500 player, what does one expect from a spoil sport.  Saints rule!

I don’t think his career is over. Yes he made some unwise decisions, which have nothing to do with his football skills. If any team paid attention to Micheal Vick before he got into trouble and need a QB, then he is the man for your team.

Give me all the stats you want, the team that wins the coin flip, (especially in a championship game) has a distinct advantage. In a playoff OT game, both teams should have an equal opportunity to score.   The pros should take a page from college football!

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/jan/22/1s22chargers/ Now this is NOT WHY they lost, but doesn’t it speak to the lack of maturity, common sense and leadership on this team!?!? Didn’t they have a bye week to get this out of their system? Couldn’t they be on their best behavior until AFTER their playoff run was over. I’ll bet you Merriman was at the center of it too. This shows you how seriously they took the Jets. Ya know I was angry they lost…now I’m glad. They desperately need player leadership STAT!   PS. I know this happened last week, but this is the first I’m hearing of it. What do you guys think?

While listening to a local sports radio station, one of the hosts made the following comment. “The Jets are the new Beast of the East. The Patriots are fading, while the Jets have a good young team, with most of the parts in place. We have to consider the Jets to be the team to beat in the AFC East next year.” There is some truth to what he said. The Jets do have a good young nucleus. Their defense it top notch. Sanchez now has a year under his belt, a year that saw them reach the conference finals, to complement their top ranked running game. And from what I have seen, they have a very good coaching staff. I will admit to only seeing a couple of Patriots games this season, but IMO, they did not look like the Pats of old. Their offensive line seemed a little more porous than in years past, and Brady does not seem to be the kind of QB that can withstand a consistent pounding. He is a bit more fragile than players like Favre or Roethlisberger. If Welker is not ready for the season opener next year, that could really hurt the Pats offense. I mean, look at what he did this season. They just seemed to be a bit worn out. So, (and I am hoping that we can keep this civil, although I will not hold my breath) what do the rest of you think? Are the Jets the team to beat? Are the Pats on the downward slope of their run, and if so, what do they need to do to stop the slide?

Gotts feel for Brett. All he hadda do was run five to ten yards and win with a field goal. From Pop Warner to the pros, it seems the basics are what brings victory or defeat. When an opportunity like that passes, the team almost always loses. I’m rooting for the Colts now.
