CARDINALS AND RANGERS WORLD SERIES

It will be the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas rangers in the 2011 World Series. Both teams can put up runs in bunches. Both have some interesting starting pitching. The Cardinals have , Carpenter, the only true ace starter of either team but the Rangers have 3 left-handed starters and a good relief corp that I think we will be seeing very early in every game

Are these Albert Pulois last games in a St. Louis Cardinals uniform. The mega-star is a free agent after the last out of the last game. Who will step up to pay him ARod level money?

Anybody have any thoughts on this World Series?

TEXAS RANGERS ON A MISSION?

Still smarting from the narrow defeat of my Yankees I still love basebal, and caught the last few innings of the Detroit/ Texas game which ended on a Grand Slam by Nelson Cruz. The Texas pitching has been excellent so far in the playoffs and they have one of the best offenses in baseball so are they on a mission to capture the World series Championship that eluded them last year? I think so It sure doesn’t help Detroit that every time Verlander pitches the game gets rained out and his warmup makes him unable to pitch for another 4 days. He is slated to go in game 5 now but I don’t think there will be a game 5 in this series. I think Texas will be working out in Miller Park that day getting ready for the start of the World Series against the Brewers.

The NFL has issued warnings to all the T-shirt Shops in New Orleans to cease printing T-Shirts with “Who Dat” on them claiming that they own the trademark to the phrase! How in the world can the NFL claim that when it was 2 brothers in New Orleans who coined the phrase in a song by Arron Neville and a few Saints players back in 1983. Prior to that it was a common phrase used in Jazz clubs and in vaudeville acts going back to the 1930′s.

We want to thank you for defending our honor on this forum by coming up with some of the most outrageous reasons for our meltdown. We all know it is the Yankees fault,we are just glad you recognize it to. All they had to do is win one game for us and the World Championship was ours.

Do you really think this was the topic of conversation in the Clubhouse last night. It gets more and more fun to be a Yankee fan every year. Have some respect for your players and allow them to begin to prepare for next year without coming on here and making excuses.

If you had a choice would you rather have a team lose the WS

I have always considered this ever since I was old enough to say Carl Yastremski. would you rather have a team (your team) go to the world series, superbowl, stanley cup, or NBA championship and lose than not get there at all. I would rather have my team not go all the way to the end and lose, like the patriots a few years ago against the Giants, I would have rather they get knocked out in the playoffs than go all the way only to come up short. But Brady still has 3 superbowls, so it wasnt the end of the world. I feel the same way about all the teams I cheer for, I just hate seeing my team go all the way and lose in the very end, I would rather them not even make the playoffs rather than get knocked out in the playoffs. I have alwyas felt that way, most people would probally want their team to go all the way to game 7 of the WS and lose rather than get knocked out early. I prefer them to be knocked out early. There is something about being so close and not being able to win.

lets be clear, yes the sox spend almost as much as the yanks, because they have to. for years ny ouspent the sox by many many times, theo epstein and company relaized to win a ws in the AL east against the yanks they would have to spend money, otherwise they would never have won the ws in 04 and 07. I agree its unfair as bogo put it pittsburg stinks because they have no money to compete. so everytime i hear a blow hard yankee fan bragging about all their world series wins, I say to them with all their money they should have won at least 20 more than they currently have, if it wasnt for money the yanks would have half the world series wins they now have. so yes the sox spend the 2nd most, but thats only been recent history, the yankees have always outspent every team. if pittsburg had the money of the yankees, in 2 years they could put a world series contender on the field. money buys talent.

Of all the reasons to drill somebody with a pitch, the worst one I can think of is because you are getting owned. I was watching the whole game and I didn’t see ONE instance of any written or unwritten codes being violated by the Phillies. That was pure bush league by the Giants. You would think as the World Champs of MLB, the Giants would win and lose with class, but I guess that’s not the case.

Ramirez and Whiteside should get the bulk of the suspensions handed down. Whiteside’s reaction to it all shows it was premeditated. Victorino should get his too, but only after pushing the ump and continuing the action.

Getting hit is part of baseball. I just can’t understand the logic in this one.
